Humpday Covers Presents: Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

This Humpday, I am bringing you all a track that is not necessarily a cover. Rather, this track samples orchestral clips and the Red Hot Chili Pepper's "Otherside" to create an awesome display of hip-hop. Seattle MC Macklemore came out with an EP called VS. late last November that features samples and work from Beirut, The Killers and Arcade Fire. The highly anticipated EP delivers messages about Macklemore's drug addiction and rehab as well as being a very well versed lyricist. This humpday listen to Macklemore's tale about taking cough syrup (codeine) while Anthony Kiedis's ballad of Heroin addiction is playing in the background.



As a bonus because I have been slacking at the posts recently I have also added the Beirut sampled track titled "Irish Celebration".
